Abstracts of Invited Speakers and Guest-Professors

As an Invited Speaker or Guest-Professor to the 1st Italy - Azerbaijan International Rhinology Congress you will be required to submit a 500 word abstract or power point presentation or full article for your session(s).

If you are an invited speaker or guest-professor and have not submitted your abstract or presentation or article, please contact ashadlinskaya@mail.ru.

Please note that the abstract submission deadline will also be February 1, 2020.

 

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts from foreign speakers will be accepted in English or Russian, from Turkish speakers - in Turkish or English, and from Azerbaijani speakers - in Azerbaijani or English only.
  • An international panel of reviewers will review all abstracts anonymously
  • Abstracts can only be submitted online; Paper and disk submissions will NOT be accepted.
  • Submitting an abstract does not register you for the Congress or Training; You must register for the Congress separately at www.tibbikurslar.com.
  • Congress/Training organizers expect that all abstracts selected for presentation will be presented by the authors and that submitted abstracts will not be withdrawn.
  • Please do not submit an abstract if you are not able to travel to the Congress and present it in the form selected.
  • Encore abstracts may be submitted for consideration. (Encore Abstracts are abstracts previously presented at another conference or previously published in a journal.)
  • Case reports and Case Series reports presented as abstract for poster display are accepted.
  • All authors must complete a conflict of interest on their poster abstract submission.
  • If your research has been granted any commercial or institutional support, you will be asked to disclose this during the submission process. Please prepare a one-sentence statement for this purpose.
  • Posters by representatives of commercial companies are accepted with the authors’ names (and any professional designation such as MD, or Researcher etc.) only, and are not to include names or associations with the commercial companies that they represent. Generic product names may be used but not company product names.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

  • All abstracts must be prepared using the abstract submission guidelines. 
  • A maximum of 2 abstracts can be submitted as first author/primary presenter. 
  • Each abstract submission must indicate if the material was published or presented in any prior Congress or if it received any awards. 
  • Accepted abstract entries of primary presenters/first author will get the complimentary registration. 
  • Please decide and finalize the presenter on behalf of your group/co-authors. 
  • A Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to the First Author/primary presenter to honor his or her presentation Poster session must not be used as a marketing opportunity for products/equipment. 
  • Travel/accommodation expenses WILL only be provided to invited speakers and guest-professors. Please contact organizing committee for any assistance.

Submission Instructions

Step 1: How to submit my abstract?

  • Be prepared to give all the information about your abstract.
  • Corresponding author’s contact details.
  • Email address.
  • Full postal address.
  • Author and coauthors details, full first and family name(s).
  • Affiliation details: department, institution/hospital, city, state (if relevant) and country.

Your abstract must contain:

  • A title in a single line
  • A list of authors with their affiliations. Please identify the first author.
  • A relevant topic group choice to be chosen in the list.
  • You should prepare the whole content of your abstract in a text (Word, TextEdit,...).
  • You can use all classic fonts because the text will automatically be formated when submitted. Some problems may appear due to incompatibility between Mac and PC. We strongly recommend that you don't use any Greek letters but their plain counterparts: "Delta" instead of "Δ ", etc... (alpha, beta, gamma, micro, ...)
  • Word counts is affected when filing the text box, maximum of 500 words is allowed.
  • Tables, pictures, images may be included but will each count as 100 words.

Step 2: Title

  • The title must be in lowercase with a capital at the beginning. Do not use any small capitals or only capitals in the title.
  • Don't use any asterisk or notes.
  • Your title must be on a single line.
  • You must avoid using abbreviations or only very common acronyms.

Step 3: Select a topic group

Please select the topic group of your abstract in the proposed list. It will be used to allow to dispatch your abstract for review to members of the Abstract Review Committee and to schedule the session for the presentation of your abstract.

Abstract topic: Please select the category under which the abstract should be reviewed after consulting the list of topics:

  • Pathogenesis of infectious lesions of the nose and peripheral pockets
  • Immunological disorders and immunotherapy in rhinology
  • Nasal structures, mucous membrane, mucociliary clearance
  • Nose polyps, pathogenesis, treatment
  • Rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma
  • Alternative treatment of rhinitis and sinusitis
  • Environment and nose
  • Antiallergic and anti-inflammatory treatment in rhinitis and sinusitis
  • Mushroom diseases of the pockets of the vicinity
  • New technologies in rhinology
  • Minimally invasive surgery in the nose and sinuses
  • Navigation systems in endonasal surgery

Step 4: Authors

You should first create the list of authors and coauthors before considering submitting your abstracts. Authors will appear in alphabetical order. You can then change the order according to your choice and select the first author and the presenting author.

Step 5: Disclosure

If relevant, don’t forget to indicate disclosure in the designed field.

Step 6: Text

  • Your abstract must not exceed 500 words (check with the counter).
  • Tables, pictures, images may be included but will each count as 100 words.
  • You should prepare the whole content of your abstract in an editor (Word, TextEdit,...).
  • You can use all classic fonts because the text will automatically be formatted when submitted. Some problems may appear due to incompatibility between Mac and PC. Step 7: Keywords

Please enter up to 4 keywords of your choice describing the content of your abstract.
Keywords are not mandatory.

Step 8: Preview & Finish

The abstract is automatically registered and submitted to the Review Abstract Committee. As long as it is under consideration, you can change your abstract until deadline by communicating with organizers.

Step 9: Evaluation

After the submission deadline has been reached, abstracts will be dispatched to the members of the Review Abstract Committee, according to the mentioned topics. Based upon the ratings, the Review Abstract Committee will select the abstracts accepted for a poster presentation.

All submitters will then receive the final status (accepted or rejected) by email.
